coworking

Earlier this year, Downtown Vision formed a Downtown Coworking Committee to evaluate the need for and interest inCoWork Jax establishing a coworking space in Downtown Jacksonville.  Coworking involves shared office space but the work is independent and can be any combination of professionals and industries.

DVI and a local group, CoWork Jax, teamed up to launch a coworking space in Downtown for a two week demonstration program at the AT&T Tower 301.  CoWork Jax had more than 65 people come and work in the space.  In addition, a survey was distributed that received more than 100 responses.  Almost 70% of respondents said they were interested in coworking because they want to work in a collaborative environment and 76% of respondents said that they were willing to park and walk a few blocks to a Downtown coworking location.  DVI continues to work with CoWork Jax to find a permanent home for coworkers Downtown.  For more information, visit http://coworkjax.com/.  To receive future coworking updates, visit our Subscribe to E-News page.
