From concerts to ballets, there’s always something happening at this beautiful and iconic Downtown landmark built in 1927.

Want to make your date swoon to beautiful music? Take him or her to a Jacksonville Symphony Orchestra concert.

Moran Theatre (300 West Water St., 904-633-6110)
Part of the Times-Union Center for the Performing Arts, you and your date can enjoy everything from a Broadway show, to concerts to stand-up comedy at this well-known Downtown venue.

Friday Musicale (645 Oak St., 904-355-7584)
For a Friday night date, Friday Musicale has regular classical music performances at 7:30 p.m., all completely free and open to the public.

  • Parking meters are free every weekday after 6 p.m. and all day Saturday and Sunday. Or if you prefer, check out the parking garage and lot options here.
  • The Skyway, now free, operates Monday through Friday from 6 a.m. to 9 p.m. and during special weekend events. For more information, click here.
  • The Jacksonville Water Taxi hours are Sunday through Thursday 11 a.m. to 9 p.m and Friday through Saturday 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. Fares are $4 one way; children and seniors are $3. Children younger than age 3 ride free. For more information, click here.
