In recognition of the nation’s premier collegiate rivalry, the Jacksonville Sports and Entertainment Board created the Georgia-Florida Hall of Fame to acknowledge the many great records, performances, career highlights and outstanding memories that have made the Georgia-Florida game one of college football’s great traditions. Georgia defensive back Scott Woerner and defensive lineman Marcus Stroud will join Florida legendary kicker Jeff Chandler and All-American tight end Ben Troupe as the 2016 Georgia-Florida Hall of Fame inductees.

Traffic Patterns

Message boards will be placed throughout the entertainment footprint, displaying parking information during the event weekend. Please refer to these boards for specific instructions on parking, not your navigation systems.
Bay Street: 9 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 29, the lane indicators will shift to pre-game pattern of three eastbound lanes and one westbound lane on Bay Street from Ocean Street to the Sports Complex Area.

JTA Game Day Stadium Shuttle Service – Park-n-Ride

Downtown Park-n-Ride lot locations: (Roundtrip $7)

Located at the Skyway Convention Center stop on Bay Street (across from the Prime Osborn Convention Center), patrons have complimentary parking, paying only to ride round-trip, non-stop service to the stadium.

 

In the San Marco area, the Kings Avenue Parking Garage offers convenient parking facilities. Patrons can access this location from I-95 and numerous other arteries. Enjoy complimentary parking and ride round-trip, non-stop service to the stadium.

 

  • Bay Street (between Laura and Hogan streets)
Adjacent to The Jacksonville Landing. No parking provided.

 

  • Southbank Hotels
Fans staying at hotels on the Southbank should take the complimentary Skyway to the Central Station and catch the Hogan Street Shuttle  and ride round-trip, non-stop service at The Jacksonville Landing to the game.

 
Other Suburban Park-n-Ride locations: (Roundtrip $12)

  • Southside (J. Turner Butler & Philips Hwy.)

Patrons coming from the Southside enjoy complimentary parking and ride the shuttle’s round-trip, non-stop service from J. Turner Butler Blvd. and Philips Highway just off I-95 to the game.

  • Beaches – Wingate Park (501 Penman Rd. S)

Patrons park free and ride the shuttle round-trip, non-stop service between the beaches and the stadium.

  • Kings Avenue, Beaches and JTB Park-n-Ride lot locations will use Lot B located east of the stadium across Haines Street between Gates 3 and 4.
  • The Skyway Convention Center Park-n-Ride lot and The Jacksonville Landing locations will use the ramp area that is located at the north end of the stadium. This pick-up and drop off area is located on the stadium property between Gates 2 and 3.
    How to purchase Shuttle Passes

Shuttle passes can be pre-purchased online at www.jtafla.com. Passes can also be purchased during operational hours beginning at 11:30 a.m. at lot locations. Skyway Service

The Skyway is a FREE fully automated, non-polluting, state-of-the-art monorail transit system operating on an elevated and electrified dual guide way, serving seven locations on both sides of the St. Johns River.

DTJax Parklet Debut!

Monday, October 24, was the ribbon cutting for the first parklet in DTJax and the launch of the DTJax Parklet Program. Located outside of The Brick Coffee House, this new addition to #DTJax provides seating, shade, bike racks and will improve the street for local businesses, residents and visitors.

Trick or Treat on the Street in #DTJax
 
Halloween falls on a Monday this year and we want to celebrate with Downtown employees wearing their best costumes for our 4th Annual Trick or Treat on the Street during lunch time on Monday, Oct. 31 from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. Participating businesses and restaurants will be set up either inside or outside their storefronts handing out candy, coupons and other promotional goodies. Grab a costume, a friend and be sure to partake in this sweet treat!

Given the hurricane watch for Hurricane Matthew and the state of emergency, Downtown Vision made the difficult decision to cancel all outdoor festivities scheduled for last week’s Oktoberfest at Art Walk.

The First Wednesday Art Walk will return in its entirety on November 2with “Salute to Service,” featuring The Navy Band and a kick of to the Navy vs. Notre Dame Game festivities.

Mark your calendars for November 2, we’ll see you then!

Monster Mash Dash
Oct. 14 | 6 p.m. – 9 p.m. | Cost: Multiple ticket options
Location: Jacksonville Fairgrounds

Zombies hate fast food, so make your way out to the Monster Mash Dash with Community Hospice of Northeast Florida. Let your imagination run wild in this wacky 5K run, costumes are greatly encouraged and children & families can enjoy food, fun and live entertainment. Come have a special night out by the Jacksonville Fairgrounds and enjoy some Halloween goodies. Best part of it all, registration helps support quality care for medically complex children in Northeast Florida!

It’s Finally Here! Oktoberfest at Art Walk is Tomorrow!

Tomorrow, October 5, we will be celebrating the 4th Annual Oktoberfest at Art Walk, our biggest Art Walk of the year! Hosted by Curtis Dvorak, Oktoberfest will include a polka band, contests, a carnival zone, a kids zone and of course, German beer and the traditional tapping of the keg! Don’t forget to check out the Front Porch at The Landing and all of the other 60+ venues participating this month. We’re also celebrating the one year anniversary of Art Walk After Dark, so continue the party in The Elbow!

Remember, Art Walk is rain or shine, so we’ll see you tomorrow!
