Downtown Jacksonville is home to over 90 eclectic restaurants, each with its own unique story. July is Culinary Arts Month, so what better way to celebrate than to do so in #DTJax? Below contains highlights of just some of the dining options the Urban Core has to offer.
Indochine
Craving Southeast Asian food? Indochine is THE go-to. Dig into duck curry, Thai beef flank and some of the best noodle dishes in Downtown, including Pad Thai, Mee-Krob and Vietnamese Pho. This eatery has been Folio’s “Best Thai Restaurant” for six consecutive years, a title Indochine has rightfully earned.

Super Food and Brew
Previously one of Jacksonville’s favorite food trucks, Super Food and Brew landed in the Urban Core as a brick-and-mortar over two years ago. The menu is littered with fresh, healthy food and has delicious vegetarian and vegan options. Be sure to check out their $4 craft beer selection.
Spliff’s Gastropub
Got the late night munchies? Spliff’s Gastropub has you covered until 2 a.m. with gourmet spliff pockets, sandwiches and their signature dish: mac & cheese. With a great rotating draft beer selection, Spliff’s is guaranteed to satisfy your cravings. Don’t know what to try? Chef Cassie’s favorite mac is The Herbivorous, featuring every veggie in the house.
Kazu Sushi Burrito
Opening just a few months ago, Kazu Sushi Burrito is already changing the way Downtown thinks about sushi. Customize your own poké bowl, salad and sushi burrito, or choose from one of their signature options. Don’t have time to dine-in? Order online and pick up. One burrito at a time, Kazu Sushi Burrito is reinventing the way we think about Japanese cuisine.
Candy Apple Cafe & Cocktails
Sitting side-by-side with Sweet Pete’s Candy in the historic Seminole Club, The Candy Apple Café & Cocktails is home to the best all-day brunch in the area. Chef Jamey Evoniuk’s scratch kitchen produces delicious French-inspired cuisine with a Southern twist. Have a sweet tooth? Browse their bar menu and try one of their craft candy cocktails.
