A Day with Dad in #DTJax

Happy Father’s Day to all the great dads out there! Since this is a special day, here are some activities you can do in #DTJax to celebrate the holiday and show dad how much you care 😊

The Most Important Meal of the Day

To start off the day, the whole family can head on over to River City Brewing Company where you can enjoy having a Father’s Day Brunch Buffet from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Their menu includes a seafood station, assorted desserts, hot entrees and more! Make sure your family makes a reservation, because seating fills up fast! Eating brunch with a great view is a gift in itself.

A Little Something Sweet

If your father always has a sweet tooth and loves chocolate, you should stop by Sweet Pete’s Father’s Day Rad Gifts for Dads going on June 3-16, where dads can get a basket or box full of sweet treats including Handmade Belgium Chocolate, Taffy, Unique Popping Candy and more! Sweet Pete’s is a great spot to take a break from walking through Downtown and have a midday snack.

Midday Mozart

Have a dad that’s into classical music? Continue your evening and take him to listen to the Vega String Quartet at Friday Musicale  from 4-5 p.m. The Vega String Quartet, Quartet in Residence at Emory University, is creating and cultivating a new generation of passionate and educated chamber music lovers. It’s a great way to listen to amazing musicians and get out of the summer heat for a while in a beautiful, historic space.

#TreatYourself

After all the walking and going to live concerts it’s only natural to be starving at this point. To satisfy your hunger go to Ruth’s Chris Steakhouse from 12:00pm to 9:00pm for a Father’s Day dinner.  Where you and your dad can enjoy the best steaks that Downtown Jacksonville has to offer. And if a fancy dinner wasn’t enough Ruth’s Chris Steakhouse gives all dads a 25$ gift card at the end their meal.

Finishing Strong

Lastly, to end the night with the family or just with your special dad go see Brit Floyd at Florida Theatre. This spectacular live concert features music from all 14 Pink Floyd studio albums plus a dazzling new light and laser show. Employing projections and animations, it sheds some light on the history of the group and ideas of its members.

Whether your dad is into live music or indulging in Jacksonville’s finest food and drink, there’s an activity in Downtown Jacksonville that will make his day even more special!
