St. Patrick’s Day is right around the corner so we put together a list of the best ways to celebrate the holiday in #DTJax. Spend four days drinking green beer, being merry and immersing yourself in Irish food and culture!



1. Shamrockin’ Saint Patrick’s Day Bash

Mavericks LIVE
March 16 | 8 p.m. – close
Cost: Cover Charge

Lean, green bikini machine! Come out to Mavericks LIVE for the 10th Annual Shamrockin’ Saint Patrick’s Day Bash, Jacksonivlle’s only pre St. Patty’s Day Ladies Night! Green beer and Irish Whisky drink specials run all night long with $2 drinks for the ladies. Ladies, try your luck and enter the Mean Green Bikini Contest for a chance to win a $500 prize.



2. St. Patrick’s Day Celebration

Fionn MacCool’s Irish Restaurant & Pub
March 17 | 10 a.m. – 2 a.m.
Cost: Free

There ain’t no party like a paddy’s day party. Spend St. Patty’s Day the right way, drinking green beer and eating like an Irshiman! Surround yourself with green beer, giveaways, live music, food and drink specials and festivities all day long.

Band line-ups include:

10 a.m. Live music by Bagpiper
11 a.m. – 3 p.m. Live music by Spade McQuade and the Allstars
4 p.m. – 8 p.m. Live music by Searson
9 p.m. – closing Live music by Rathkeltair & JFRD Pipes and Drums

Cost: Free

Live from the Courtyard, it’s St. Patrick’s Day! Stop by the Jacksonville Landing from all day for live music, giant games, green beer, beads and The Landing’s green fountain.

Band line- ups include:

Noon – 4 p.m. Live music by Ace Winn Trio
4 p.m. – 7 p.m. Live music by Radio Love
8 p.m. – midnight Live music by Well Wishers



4. The Chieftains

The Jacksonville Symphony
March 17 & 18 | 8 p.m.
Cost: Starting at $27.00

Surround yourself with the best of the Emerald Isle as the Jacksonville Symphony presents The Chieftains, “the world’s best-loved Irish folk band.” On Friday come early for a pre-concert celebration with Jig to a Milestone and arrive early on Saturday for a special performance from the Legacy Irish Dance Academy. Be merry this St. Patrick’s Day at the Jacoby Symphony Hall with Guinness and green beer, Irish coffee and festivities!



5. Yappy Hour St. “PAW”ty’s Day

The Jacksonville Landing
March 19 | 2-5 p.m.
Cost: Free

Celebrate St. “PAW”ty’s Day with your pooch! Bring your pal dressed in green and try your luck to win King or Queen of the Green. Enjoy a dog and owner beer-drinking contest, pet expo, giveaways, and live music by DJ Kavin Tos.

Celebrate with St. Patrick’s Day with happy hour at Element Bistro from 4-9 p.m. then head to the Hourglass Pub for Mad Cowford Improv starting at 7 p.m.

Hemming Park Holiday Market
Nov. 30 – Dec. 11 | 11 a.m. – 2 p.m. 

Enjoy festive holiday decorations and Support local small businesses with a rotation of different vendors each day. The markets and food trucks will run 11:00am – 2:00pm for guest of the park to gather and purchase gifts.

Vagabond Flea 
Dec. 12 | 9 a.m. – 6 p.m. 

Every second Saturday, join Vagabond Coffee Company in Hemming Park to shop vintage finds and handmade goods from local craftsmen and collectors.

Riverside Arts Market: Holidazzle
Dec. 12 | 10 a.m. – 9 p.m.

Go to the Riverside Arts Market and enjoy all the festivities from lights and decor to photos with Santa and classic holiday movies on stage from 6 – 9 p.m.

Jaxsons Night Market

A monthly night market for Jaxsons by Jaxsons, showcasing what makes our community unique including local farmers, local beer, food trucks, fashion trucks, art and food vendors, live music and much more.
