Downtown Jacksonville is the urban center of Northeast Florida, situated 25 miles south of the Georgia border and less than 150 miles north of Orlando. Centered on the banks of the St. Johns River, Jacksonville is one of the five largest populated cities on the East Coast.


Downtown Jacksonville is central to many attractions, from beaches and golf courses to state parks and historical hideaways, all within an hour drive.

Downtown is easily accessible by plane, boat and highway. Jacksonville International Airport is just minutes from Downtown, with non-stop flights to many major U.S. cities.  With docking on both sides of the St. Johns River,  marinas welcome boaters from all over. Two major interstate highways, I-95 and I-10, intersect in Downtown Jacksonville, providing easy access to and from Downtown.

Downtown offers many convenient modes of public transportation, from buses and trolleys to river taxis and the skyway. In addition, there are blocks of sidewalks and bike poles throughout Downtown.
