August 31 - September 13, 2010 Spotlight Events

Join us for Art Walk - Art Takes Shape on September 1 from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m.! This month features art in all shapes, including paintings, photography, video and sculpture, the Jacksonville Aviation Authority's exhibit chronicling the history of aviation in Jacksonville, a sandcastle competition and even make-your-own pizza art!

This month's Art Walk also features the opening of the "Creative Response Experiment: Imagination Squared," created by Christine Foard and Dolf James, at MOCA Jacksonville. The original idea was to create a "snapshot" of the Jacksonville community. It grew into an expression of the importance of the arts in education by giving a stage to the collective creative momentum happening in Jacksonville. This community art work features more than 900 local artists.

The first home game of the new season is September 12 at 1 p.m. Come support the Jaguars as they take on the Denver Broncos! It's a brand new season and the Jaguars are ready to perform at a new level. Support your team and get over to EverBank Field and watch some football! Come for the Jags, come for Tebow, but whatever you do, don't miss it!
