With the last Art Walk of the 2014 season upon us, we want to end the year with a bang. December’s Downtown is Home for the Holidays will be a night we “snow” you will love! Here are eight reasons why you should check out tomorrow’s Art Walk:
1. You don’t have to travel too far to see snow.
Laura Street will feature a snow slide, hot chocolate, arts and crafts, and a holiday photo booth-fun for all ages.
2. It will be perfect weather to enjoy a nice cold beer AND a hot cup of chocolate.
There will be nice cold beers and hot cider for the adults to enjoy as well as kid-friendly drinks. Be sure to try some of Vagabond‘s delicious hot chocolate on Laura Street.
3. It’s the perfect time and place to get all of your holiday gifts.
With dozens of retail options all offering great gifts, Downtown can be your one-stop-shop for all of your holiday gift-giving needs. Not only will you find perfect, unique gifts for your loved ones, but you’re shopping locally and supporting Downtown.
4. The Jacksonville Landing can sure put up a Christmas tree.
Be sure to stop by The Jacksonville Landing for festive tree light shows from 6 – 9 p.m. along with performances by local churches, schools and dance groups.
5. Get you sweet tooth fixin’ from Sweet Pete’s.
Sweet Pete’s will host a porch party at their new location on Hogan Street. Be sure to stop by for a sweet treat, and jam to live music by The Dalton Stanley Band.
6. Tubas, tubas everywhere.
The Tuba Christmas Band will perform in Hemming Park and give us a sneak preview of what’s to come at The Jacksonville Landing where more than 100 tuba players perform Dec. 13.
7. Southlight Gallery will host an Alliance social, offering complimentary wine for members and cider for all from 6-9 p.m.

8. Who doesn’t love coffee?
Urban Grind Coffee Co. has a new location and will host a holiday open house, a raffle, crafts and, of course, delicious coffee. Plus, right next door, enjoy Daniel James Salon‘s customer appreciation event.
