N. Jefferson Street Sewer Improvement Project

A contractor working for JEA (IPR) will be replacing a portion of sanitary sewer main on N. Jefferson Street from W. Bay Street to N. Forsyth Street. Failures to sewer mains can potentially cause major sewer back-ups, environmental harm and roadway issues if not repaired promptly. Once completed, this project will increase the reliability of the sewer system and help prevent future sewer main breaks.

Estimated Completion Date: September 24, 2021*

*Dates are highly subject to change.

Message boards will be placed in the area to alert motorists of the closure. Residents, businesses and business patrons who reside or have business within the project limits will have access to their home or business and will be permitted to drive (with caution) within the project area. For the safety of crews and the general public, JEA is required to temporarily close and detour traffic around the work area while this work is being completed (please see the map below). Please observe all construction signs, detours, and general directions provided by the crews working on-site.

This construction project will not affect your normal water, sewer or electric service.

If you have any questions or concerns, please contact JEA Project Outreach at (904) 665-7500 or projectoutreach@jea.com.

Chilled Water Project

A contractor working for JEA (TB Landmark) will soon be installing chilled water mains along W. Duval Street, N. Julia Street and E. Construction will primarily occur in the City of Jacksonville rights-of-way, roads and easements.
