Downtown Retail Enhancement Program kicks off with workshop Monday

Downtown Vision, Inc. is thrilled City Council recently approved funding for the Downtown Retail Enhancement Program. The Downtown Investment Authority (DIA) will hold a workshop to discuss the application process and terms of the program. Workshop details:

The Downtown Retail Enhancement Program is intended to facilitate occupancy of vacant storefronts in the Northbank Core Business District, depicted on the map below.

Screen shot 2014-11-20 at 4.25.35 PMA total of $750,000 is available for costs associated with renovating or preparing a commercial space for occupancy. Projects must have a total project cost more than $10,000 to be eligible for funding. The maximum award allowed is $20 per square foot but cannot exceed 50 percent of total improvement costs. Funding will be awarded on a first-come, first-served basis.
