At this years #DTJax Awards we wanted to recognize someone that is very special to our organization. DVI just recently celebrated our 20th anniversary and while doing so, we couldn’t help but reminisce on who created the foundation of DVI. Terry Lorince, DVI’s first Executive Director, is the woman behind the hard work that began 20 years ago.
Terry is the person who put DVI on the map in Downtown, launching many of DVI’s cornerstone programs: The Downtown Ambassadors, The State of Downtown Report, The first Wednesday Art Walk and dtjax.com. Terry has led our organization through two legislation renewals, created our 501(c)3 charitable foundation arm, advocated for the creation of the Downtown Investment Authority and major developments, including both residential and historical preservation projects.
Terry was also recognized in our 20th Year Annual Report to show our appreciation for her dedication to Downtown Jacksonville and DVI. Thank you, Terry!
