New Exhibit Opens at MOCA

Local artist Doug Eng’s Structure of Nature // Nature of Structure exhibition opens this Friday, July 9 at 8 p.m. The event is free and open to the public. Through his art and advocacy, Eng highlights the need to preserve our endangered wetlands and forests in Northeast Florida, drawing parallels with our search for a common identity as human beings. Learn more.

Activating Jacksonville’s Riverfront

The Jessie Ball duPont Fund is helping to convene a series of conversations about how best to activate our city’s downtown waterfront for the benefit of all of our residents and visitors. Visit their page to learn more, and attend their public meetings to contribute to the conversation on July 15th and 20th.

1st Downtown Jacksonville: The Future of the Shipyards 

1st DownTown Jacksonville is a platform created to help communicate, advocate and unite supporters who share the same passion for Downtown. Check out their website to learn about plans for The Shipyards, a path toward the Stadium of the Future and community investment by the Jaguars and Iguana Investments.

Riverfront Plaza Design Competition

The three final design firms pitched their concepts to the Downtown Investment Authority and are seeking public feedback. If you weren’t able to watch the presentations, you can view them online through the City of Jacksonville’s procurement website.
