Jax Shrimp July 3rd Independence Day Celebration

On July 3rd the Jacksonville Jumbo Shrimp are hosting an Independence Day Fireworks Celebration at 121 Financial Ballpark. Fans are invited to come early to the socially-distanced event, with the club screening a baseball movie at 7:30 p.m. Learn more

Annual City of Jacksonville 4th of July Fireworks 

The City of Jacksonville will be lighting the sky in multiple locations across Jacksonville this year, including our very own Downtown celebration. The show will begin at 9:45 p.m. Watch from the Northbank and Southbank River Walk. Please maintain social distancing.

The Volstead
The Volstead is open for to-go and delivery! Order your favorite craft cocktails to enjoy at home this 4th of July weekend. Food vendors will be setting up at The Volstead this week including Chancho King and El Cubano Jax.

Drive Thru Food Pantry
Catholic Charities Jacksonville in partnership with Farm Share is hosting a drive thru food pantry through July 31st at The Jessie located at 40 East Adams Street. This pantry provides shelf-stable food items for the general public and is open on Tuesdays and Thursdays.

Dos Gatos
Dos Gatos is open for to-go cocktails, bottles and more. Stop in Monday-Friday from 5-9 p.m. and Saturday from 6-10 p.m. Food will be available from Chop It Charlie’s Food Cart and Catering.

Updates from Downtown Vision

Mandatory Masks: As of 6/29/2020, the City of Jacksonville has implemented a mandatory mask requirement for public & indoor locations, and in other situations where individuals cannot socially distance.

Alcohol Sales: The Department of Business and Professional Regulation has suspended on premises consumption of alcohol at bars statewide. More Info

Florida Reopening Phase II:
Florida is now in Phase II of the state-wide reopening plans. Governor DeSantis’ plan, Safe, Smart, Step-by-Step, relaxes more of the measures put in place to slow the spread of COVID-19. Changes Include:

  • Gyms and retail operating at 100% capacity
  • Entertainment facilities can open at a 50% capacity
  • Groups are encouraged to limit gatherings to no more than 50
