DVI Updates
One Spark 2016: Spark Walk + Creator Innovation Day
On Wednesday, April 6, we will celebrate Creators on the streets of Downtown Jacksonville with a First Wednesday Spark Walk from noon to 10 p.m. This is the perfect opportunity to spend the afternoon with coworkers, friends or family Downtown. With creators, artists, food trucks, live music and entertainment, this is a day you won’t want to miss! And don’t forget about Spark Walk After Dark in The Elbow for continued fun, art and music.
Thursday, April 7, will be Creator Innovation Day at The Hyatt which provides Creators and Entrepreneurs with information, tools and workshops to move ideas from concept to company. This all day conference is a great resource for those looking to start a business, for small business owners or for entrepreneurs. There is still time to register, so make sure to get your tickets here. We’ll see you next week!

Jazz Fest After Dark in the Core:
There is a lot of excitement surrounding this year’s Jacksonville Jazz Festival, and rightly so since it’s back in the core of #DTJax! The fun does not end with Jazz Fest, as there is Jazz Fest After Dark with ten stages, over 60 acts and all for free. Make sure to check out the website for more information and the full line-up.
So mark your calendars for May 27-28 for #JFADjax!

Our Urban Oasis Gala Was a Success!

The DTJax inaugural Urban Oasis Gala was an amazing success March 19! It was truly one for the books with over 200 attendees, a fantastic space and ambience, delicious food and drinks and great music all night long. The proceeds from the Gala and silent auction are going to fund parklets Downtown to further beautify and green out streets.
We would like to congratulate the winners of our Downtown awards:
- Ambassador of the Year: Lydia Cobbert
- Downtowner of the Year: Alex Coley
- Downtown Business of the Year: Sweet Pete’s Candy
- Downtown Achievement Award: Jessie Ball duPont Fund and Sherry Magill.
Thank you for all your hardwork in making #DTJax a better place everyday!
A big thank you to all of our sponsors who made this night possible, especially PRI Productions, Auld & White Constructors and Everbank. Also, a special shout-out to our fantastic caterers, Black Sheep and beverage providers, Intuition Ale Works, Bold City Brewery and The Jacksonville Landing.
Thank you again to everyone who volunteered, donated and came out to help us celebrate #DTJax. Make sure to visit our Facebook page to look at all the pictures from the night!
