New and Noteworthy

Art in the Park

Northeast Florida’s only chalk drawing competition returns to James Weldon Johnson Park on Saturday, March 26th!  The 2022 theme will be “My Wish for Jacksonville – Celebrating The Next 200 Years” in honor of Jacksonville’s upcoming bicentennial celebration. Artists of all ages will have up to six hours to create a work of art entirely from chalk.

Toon Town Market

Located a few steps from TIAA Bank Stadium, is multi-functional event warehouse covered in street art known as “Toon Town”. Join Toon Town Jax for their third market of the year on March 26th from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.! Shop with almost 60 vendors and enjoy food trucks, a kid zone, pet vendors, local artists and so much more.

Opening Day

Baseball season is returning to #DTJax on April 5th! Join the Jumbo Shrimp for Opening Day as they welcome fans back to the ballpark for the 2022 baseball season.Don’t miss the first pitch of the season against the Worcester Red Sox at 7:05 p.m. Plus, make sure to stick around for the post game fireworks show!

Woofstock

It’s almost time for the inaugural “Woofstock” dog friendly music festival on April 23rd. This event will feature multiple stages of amazing music, local vendors, food trucks, a full array of delicious beverages and best of all it is dog friendly! A portion of the proceeds will benefit the Jacksonville Humane Society and VIP tickets are available to purchase. Learn More.

Stroll the stunning Southbank Riverwalk every Third Thursday of the month between the DoubleTree Hotel and the Southbank Hotel. Enjoy live music, food vendors, bars and picnic areas – all with a picturesque sunset backdrop.

New to the Sip & Stroll Presented by PNC Bank Experience: 
Enjoy a creative and artistic pop-up lounge, thanks to the support of PNC and the Cultural Council of Greater Jacksonville, featuring artists Maiya Elaine and Christopher Clark. Special thanks to our friends at Kanine Social for providing water bowls for our furry friends, which will be stationed along the Southbank Riverwalk.

Sips: Enjoy beer, wine and Manifest Distilling cocktails. Plus, enjoy handcrafted mocktails and kava drinks by Wildcrafters

This spring, join us on the riverfront each Thursday in April for the return of Jax River Jams Presented by VyStar Credit Union! This free, four-week, multi-genre concert series will be held Thursdays in April at Riverfront Plaza in Downtown Jacksonville and will feature: Spin Doctors & Sister Hazel, Boyz II Men, Carly Pearce and Manchester OrchestraLearn More.
