Emerald Trail 5K This Saturday  

The inaugural VyStar Emerald Trail 5K will give runners, walkers and cyclists an up-close look at multiple points of interest along the future LaVilla Link and S-Line Rail Link segments of the Emerald Trail. All proceeds from this event benefit Groundwork Jacksonville, the City’s nonprofit partner in building the Emerald Trail and restoring McCoys Creek and Hogans Creek. Learn more.

Khan Family Invests $5 Million in the MOSH Genesis Capital Campaign

Khan praised the Museum’s proposal to build a new museum on the Shipyards property. In a previous statement, he said he was “all in” on the Museum’s plans, and that the new museum “would be a spectacular addition to Downtown Jacksonville.” Learn more.

Tomorrow: All Things Boho Market at The Bier Hall

Save the Date: Small Business Saturday

November 28, 2020 is Small Business Saturday, an annual celebration of all things local.

This Small Business Saturday, we will be hosting a QR code hunt in the Eventzee App, similar to our Halloween Hunt for Halloweek. Participants will seek out 5 QR codes at participating Downtown businesses for a chance to win a $20 #DTJax e-Gift Card.

How to Play:
1. Download the Eventzee App.
2. Create an account.
3. Stayed tuned on our website and social media for the join code.
4. Scan 5 codes at participating businesses. The first 100 players to scan 5 QR codes will receive a #DTJax e-Gift Card via email the week of November 30th.

New Eco-Counter in Corkscrew Park

The City of Jacksonville’s Parks and Recreation Department, the Downtown Investment AuthorityJTC Running and Downtown Vision partnered to install a counter on the Northbank Riverwalk. These Eco-Counters keep data to show how many pedestrians and cyclists are using a park, and help to inform safety decisions.
