Friday, Sept. 19, Downtown Vision, Inc. (@DTJax) partnered with the young professionals group JCCI Forward (@JCCIForward) to discuss via a Twitter “tweet chat” growing Downtown as a distinctive neighborhood, a Jax2025 target.
Through a series of questions, we interacted with Tweeters on their relationship with Downtown – how often they visit and why, what activities and destinations they recommend to visitors, and how they would define Downtown’s personality, a discussion aimed to help us figure out ways to reach the Jax2025 vision of an ideal urban heart:
Nearly 30 Tweeters participated in the tweet chat, using the official hashtag, #chatdtjax, more than 280 times. Below, take a look at the questions we asked along with screenshots of a selection of responses and thoughts:
Q1: How do you define a great urban neighborhood? #chatdtjax
Q2: When was the last time you brought friends/family to a #DTJax destination? What did you show off? #chatdtjax
Q3: When was the last time you were a tourist in our own Downtown? #chatdtjax
Q4: Does #DTJax have a personality – how would you characterize it? #chatdtjax
Q5: What can organizations like us (DVI) and @JCCIForward do to help strengthen a sense of community in #DTJax? #chatdtjax
We’d like to send a shout-out to our friends at JCCI Forward and all tweet chat participants. Stay tuned to @DTJax on Twitter and DVI’s Facebook page for announcements on future tweet chats. For more information on Jax2025 and its targets, visit Jax2025.org.
