With Friends of Hemming Park gearing up to take over Hemming Plaza this fall, Downtown Vision, Inc. recently created an online forum for the community to discuss their vision for the centrally located, historic park.
In DVI’s third “tweet chat” (using the hashtag #chatdtjax), Twitter users answered a series of questions tweeted by @DTJax while interacting and discussing comments with others participating in the chat.
More than 30 unique Twitter users took part in the discussion, and the #chatdtjax hashtag was used more than 100 times. Below, you’ll find screenshots of key responses and comments tweeted during the chat:
Q1: When is the last time you visited Hemming Plaza and why?
Q2: What was your last experience like in Hemming Plaza?
Q3: What are the barriers that would keep you from going to an event in Hemming Plaza – parking, seating, etc.?
Q4: What types of events would draw you to Hemming Plaza more often?
Q5: Would you attend daytime, nighttime or weekend events?
Q6: How could a revitalized Hemming Plaza improve the overall Downtown experience?
