Jacksonville Public Library Tails and Tales Summer Reading Program 2021

Author: Laken Chaney, Downtown Vision Marketing and Events Intern

From June 1st – July 30th, join the Jacksonville Public Library for another year of its annual Summer Reading program! This year’s Summer Reading program, Tails and Tales, is one you do not want to miss!

The Jacksonville Public Library is inviting people to read and learn all summer long! The Summer Reading program is free to attend and open to everyone. This year, the library will be offering fun and exciting events from June 1st – July 30th. For instance, the Summer Reading program will offer readers limited in-branch programs, interactive virtual events, access to fun activities, challenges, and scavenger hunts, and the opportunity to win prizes.

By reading 15 minutes a day (or more!) for 15 days, readers are able to win free books and prizes! Readers are also encouraged to record what they have learned from reading to be entered to win an ultimate prize. To help keep track of reading progress, the Jacksonville Public Library will be giving out special tracking bookmarks. Stop in to your local Jacksonville Public Library branch to pick up your bookmark. Or, request to pick one up through curbside pick-up!

Children (ages birth to 17) can sign up for the Summer Reading program here, and adults (ages 18+) can sign up here.
