7 Places to Celebrate St. Patty’s Day in #DTJax

With St. Patrick’s Day quickly approaching on Thursday March 17, we put together a list of the best spots to celebrate this year in #DTJax. What’s better than green beer, leprechauns, Irish culture, live music, beads and drink specials? Throw on a green shirt, hat or maybe even a leprechaun costume and head to #DTJax.



1. Shamrockin’ Saint Patrick’s Day Bash

Mavericks LIVE
March 17 | Doors open at 6 p.m.
Cost: $5 for guys, free for girls 21+

Celebrate a Mavericks LIVE special edition St. Patty’s Day ladies night featuring a green bikini contest, cash and prizes, music by Luke Bryan’s official DJ; DJ Rock, drink specials and more.



2. St. Patrick’s Day Celebration

The Jacksonville Landing
March 17 | 4 p.m.
Cost: Free

Enjoy live music on the Coca-Cola Riverfront Stage, dance performances, green beer and The Landing’s green fountain.
Entertainment includes:

  • 4 – 7 p.m. Live music by Ace Winn Trio
  • 7 – 8 p.m. Irish dance performance by Dynamics Dance Inc.
  • 8 p.m. – 12 a.m. Austin Park

    3. St. Patrick’s Day Celebration 

    Fionn MacCool’s Irish Restaurant & Pub
    March 17 | 9 a.m. – 2 a.m.
    Cost: Free

    Start your St. Patty’s day off with an Irish breakfast at Fionn MacCool’s served from 9 – 11 a.m then enjoy giveaways, roaming bagpipers, traditional Irish dancers, drink specials and a buffet throughout the day.

    Schedule of events includes:
    9 – 11 a.m. Traditional Irish Breakfast
    10 a.m. – 1 p.m. Live music by Spade McQuade and the Allstars
    11 a.m. – 9 p.m. A.Y.C.E Carved Corned Beef Buffet
    1:30 – 4:30 p.m. Live music by Rathkeltair
    5 – 9 p.m. Live music by Searson
    9:30 p.m. – Closing Live performance by Seven Nations


    4. Love, Luck and Happiness Party for Kane

    The Hourglass Pub
    March 17 | 6 p.m. – 2 a.m.
    Cost: Free

    Support Kane, a 4 year old boy diagnosed with cancer a few months ago and his family in the Good Luck for Kane event on St. Patrick’s Day. 15% of all bar sales go to support Kane and his battle. Enjoy live model drawings by artists, green beer from Bold City Brewery and music from Richter7, all for a great cause!


    5. “Lucky” St. Patrick’s Day Celebration 

    Mark’s Jacksonville
    March 17 | 8 p.m. – 2 a.m.
    Cost: Free

    Stop by Mark’s lounge and try your luck for an event sponsored by Michael Collins Whiskey featuring $4 Irish Whiskey, $6 Irish Car bombs, $3 Guinness and $3 New Castle.


    6. Spring Cocktail Tasting: Irish Edition

    March 17 | 6 – 8 p.m.
    Cost: $30 per person

    Not a fan of huge crowds and green beer? Sample beer, wine and Irish whiskey by Premium Beverage while enjoying small bites and treats inspired by the flavors of Ireland by Chef Kathy Collins. MOCA Jacksonville will also be open until 9 p.m. Purchase tickets here.
