Now that school is out and summer break is in full swing, parents and children alike are looking for fun ways to spend their days. Since we are in the middle of transitioning from staying indoors to being socially-distanced in public, it can be difficult to know what fun things are open that you can do with your kids. We all know that life is easier for both parents and children when there is something fun and educational to do, so we have compiled a list of activities for summer family fun in Downtown Jacksonville.
Museum of Science and History (MOSH)
The MOSH has recently announced that starting June 1, 2020, they are opening their doors by reservation to members and reopening to the public by reservation on June 15, 2020. This museum is the perfect place to take the kiddos if you want to offer them a fun day full of learning!

Go Tuk’n Scavenger Hunt
Need something fun to do with your 8-12-year-old teenager this summer? Go Tuk’n has created exciting tours that reinvent the typical scavenger hunt. There are a few different choices to choose from, and they all are an hour long. Each vehicle is private and in the open-air, so no need to worry about crowds. This is an idea that will guarantee fond memories!
Sweet Pete’s Candy
Your kids will thank you for taking them to Sweet Pete’s Candy! Known as the “sweetest destination on earth”, this candy store is an experience for people of all ages. Shop around in their toy and candy store, take fun photos in their social media room, and watch how your favorite candy is made! There are endless possibilities of things to do at Sweet Pete’s, and they are open from 10 a.m. – 6 p.m.
