The year 2015 saw an abundance of development in #DTJax. With new apartments, retails shops and restaurants popping up on every corner, Downtown is the place to be! We are especially excited about all the progress happening in the Brooklyn area. Since its beginning in 2014, Brooklyn Station on Riverside has seen major transformation –and more is in the works!
Taking a break from the daily grind, we decided to get some fresh air and explore some of the newest additions to Brooklyn Station.
Here is what we found:
150 Riverside Avenue
Hours
Monday – Thursday: 11 a.m. – 9 p.m.
Friday – Sunday: 11 a.m. – 1- p.m.
The newest addition to Brooklyn Station is Hyppo Gourmet Ice Pops.
Located next to Zoës Kitchen, Hyppo gives traditional popsicles a run for their money.
They pride themselves on offering only natural, preservative-free treats. With options that range from strawberry to blackberry goat cheese, Hyppo will satisfy any sweet tooth.
What sets them apart are flavors that change with the seasons, ensuring you’re always getting the freshest ingredients. These handmade ice pops won’t disappoint. Don’t believe us? Go check them out for yourself!

Zoës kitchen Riverside location opened in the spring of 2015.
This modern Mediterranean restaurant provides fresh and healthy choices for everyone, including gluten free, vegetarian and vegan menu items. Stationed on the corner of Riverside Avenue and Stonewall Street, this is not your typical franchised restaurant. Bright colors and friendly staff welcome old and new faces daily to this new spot. Looking for a better burger joint? By better we mean better to people, animals and the environment (not to mention better taste) – it’s a win for all! BurgerFi is setting the bar high with food that treats our planet a little better than most. The trendy interior features upcycled tables, chairs and lighting. BurgerFi’s Brooklyn location not only offers communal seating but also local craft beer. Who doesn’t like the idea of bringing the community together over all-natural, free-range burgers and beer? The next stop on our walking tour of Brooklyn Station brought us to The Pink Nickel.The Pink Nickel is tucked behind The Corner Bakery, next to The Fresh Market. This boutique offers stylish clothing at affordable prices. From scarves to dresses, they have all it all. The online store turned boutique has all your fashion needs covered! A friendly staff and unique finds keep this store at the top of our shopping list.
90 Riverside Avenue Ste. 601
Burrito Gallery has been a Jacksonville staple for 10 years. Construction on their third location in
Brooklyn Station is almost complete and plans for a early 2016 opening.
With a rooftop dining area, this might prove to be our favorite Burrito Gallery yet!
