2021 Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Day Parade
The Law Offices of Ron Sholes, P.A., in partnership with the Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Memorial Foundation Inc., is honored to present the 40th Annual Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Day Parade, held on Monday, January 18th at 10 am, Downtown Jacksonville. The annual event celebrates the life and legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., sharing his message around equality, opportunity and service to others.
This year’s parade route will be identical to that of the 2020 Veteran’s Day Parade. Participants will commence on Waters Street, parallel to the Federal Reserve Bank of Atlanta facility. The parade will continue on to Laura, then Adams Street before concluding at the intersection of Lee and Bay Street. The event will last approximately 2 hours, winding through the streets of Downtown Jacksonville for roughly 1.5 miles.
The event will feature floats, live performances from local marching bands, dance troupes, and decorated vehicles representing local businesses and organizations while also exhibiting a theme related to Dr. King’s message. In addition to leading the parade along its path, The Law Offices of Ron Sholes, P.A. will also be distributing T-shirts during the parade to spectators. In an effort to prevent the spread of COVID-19, all participants and attendees will be asked to adhere to local safety regulations.
