Comedian Bill Maher has set the boundaries of where funny political talk can go on television. His unflinching honesty has earned him big laughs on Comedy Central’s Politically Incorrect and as the host of the Emmy-nominated Real Time with Bill Maher on HBO.

His documentary Religulous, directed by Larry Charles (“Borat”) has gone on to become the 8th highest grossing documentary ever.

Maher started his career as a stand-up comedian, and still performs in theaters all across the country. His HBO stand up specials: Bill Maher: Live from DC, The Decider, I’m Swiss, and Bill Maher … But I’m Not Wrong, have been nominated for Emmy awards.
