Black Art Matters: Samuel Levi Jones

About

Samuel Levi Jones collects outdated law books, encyclopedias, and reference books, tears apart the covers, and sews them together—creating art. Targeting books that lack representation of African Americans, Jones states, “When you think about that, it makes it easy to destroy the material.”

slevijones join us Tue, February 21 at 7 p.m. for our Black Art Matters virtual lecture series to speak about his work and career in the world of contemporary art. This series is free to the public thanks to the support of the Jessie Ball DuPont Fund.
