The Art Center Cooperative, Inc. is a Co-op of artists that have been in Jacksonville for over 16 years.

The Co-op is now curating art shows at the Main Library downtown. All of the artwork in the main gallery on the 1st floor is a culmination of 40 local artists participating in a show titled “Our Florida”.   The showcases the State and in particular Northeast Florida. On the second and third floors of the library, we will be rotating featured area artists every 2 months. Currently, there is an exhibit by Laurence Walden.

There will be a closing reception on the first floor during the next Art Walk on Sept 7^th from 6-8 p.m. On this date, there will also be the featured artist reception for Laurence Walden’s exhibit, “One Extreme to Another.”

Laurence Walden is known throughout Jacksonville as WALDEN.  One of Walden’s visual art rendering specialties is creating decorative masks out of fine dining silverware and other found objects in addition to rendering abstract paintings, mixed media collages, murals, and portraits. He also designs and creates wearable art. Walden creates ART from ONE EXTREME TO ANOTHER.
