Coffee with a Curator: Project Atrium: Chiharu Shiota

Join MOCA’s Senior Curator in-person for coffee and conversation about our newest Project Atrium: Chiharu Shiota “Letters of Love”

Celebrated for her spectacular installations often made with impossibly light and airy materials such as woven thread, Japanese artist Chiharu Shiota‘s work constitutes a meditation on being, transcendence, and our brief existence in the world. For her Project Atrium installation, “Letters of Love”, Shiota presents an installation using her signature red ropes, containing floating love letters on paper, filling the Atrium space.

Project Atrium: Chiharu Shiota, Letters of Love is on view until June 26, 2022
