Ladies Night Out

About

Ladies Night Out is a free community event for women to build community and support local makers while benefiting the local non-profit organization ReThreaded. There are local vendors in attendance, music for all to enjoy, and prizes to be raffled off. Local vendors donate a portion of their evenings sales directly to ReThreaded. Ladies Night Out will be from 7-9 pm. We hope and plan to have live music throughout. The raffle prizes will be towards the end of the evening. This will be hashed out when we have vendors and raffle prizes confirmed. We will need bathrooms for guests as well as ourselves to use. We will need electrical access for a handful of vendors but again will not be certain until we start booking them.

Our office participates as a vendor and offers free health assessments. The proceeds from the appointments booked that evening are also donated directly to ReThreaded.

ReThreaded’s mission is to renew hope, reignite dreams, and release potential for survivors of human trafficking locally and globally through business. ReThreaded provides a second chance at life through employment for survivors of human trafficking in Jacksonville, Florida. Women have employment opportunities in different facets of the company including production, inventory, sales, marketing, and finance/admin.

ReThreaded also operates as a distribution company that sells products from like-minded businesses who also employ women who have found freedom from the sex trade.

Florida is the third largest hub for human trafficking in the United States.

Duval county is ranked fifth for the most (positively identified) human trafficking cases in Florida (2017).
