Lit Chat Interview with Wayne Wood

About

What’s Your Favorite Jacksonville Building or Landmark? The first edition of Jacksonville’s Architectural Heritage sold out in three weeks. Over the next 33 years, there would be six more printings. And for years, the book was out of print. Now, there’s a completely new edition out, in honor of Jacksonville’s recent Bicentennial, featuring new photos, new buildings and so much more!

Join us for a lively, wide-ranging discussion of Jacksonville’s history and architecture with author Wayne Wood and interviewer Dr. Tim Gilmore in the beautiful Ansbacher Map Room on the fourth floor of the Main Library.

The two will present little-known facts about Jacksonville buildings, talk about their all-time favorite landmarks, and show why preserving these sites is so important for Jacksonville history. An audience Q&A will follow.

Wood will sign books after the program and copies of the book will be available for sale on-site through the Jacksonville Historical Society.
