MLK Holiday Grand Parade 2023

About

The 42nd edition of the MLK Holiday Grand Parade will be held on Monday, January 16, 2023, in Downtown Jacksonville. We will, once again, strictly adhere to COVID-19 guidelines in effect at that time.  The Foundation will continue to honor the life and enduring legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., and the ongoing struggle for human rights and dignity for all Americans. Please register for the parade at your earliest convenience to ensure premium placement in the MLK Holiday Parade Lineup.

Join us at the conclusion of the MLK Holiday Parade as we celebrate the 42nd Annual MLK Day Celebration with a variety of activities including Entertainment, Food, Workshops, Books, Poetry, and vendors of all stripes. This exciting one-day event is a celebration of the legacy of Dr. King and the movement for Human Rights and dignity.

MLK Day is a pre and post-MLK Holiday Parade activity. You do not have to participate in the MLK Holiday Grand Parade in order to enjoy MLK Day on Monday, January 16, 2023. We will arrange transportation for Senior Citizen Housing Complexes to enjoy MLK Day!

Also, there will be interactive children’s storytelling and LIVE spoken-word performances. Bring your family, church members, book clubs, youth groups, schools, neighbors, and sports teams. EVERYONE IS INVITED TO ENJOY MLK DAY IN JACKSONVILLE.

A very special invitation is accorded to the Greater Jacksonville ecumenical church community to participate in the 2023 MLK Holiday Parade.
