MOCA Studio Practice with Aisling Millar-McDonald

About

Learn how to create narrative in ceramics through texture with local artist Aisling Millar-McDonald at Studio Practice on Saturday, October 8 at 12 p.m. During this month’s workshop, participants will learn ceramics techniques and use texture as a form of visual language to explore a moment of time and memory. They may bring in an inspirational object(s) with them or select one that has been gathered for this workshop. Together students will explore composition, symbolism, and texture to create a narrative abstract work.

Studio Practice is a monthly series of hands-on, practical art classes where students of all levels learn to create in varying media with the instruction of a local artist. Link in bio to register.

Millar-McDonald is currently featured in “FIFTY: An Alumni Exhibition,” which showcases professional artists from across the world who graduated from the @UofNorthFlorida’s Department of Art, Art History, and Design. The exhibition is on view now at MOCA Jacksonville and sponsored by @CommFirstCU. Studio Practice is sponsored by the Cummer Family Foundation.
