Poetry Workshop with Suni Storm

About

Join me at Chamblin’s Uptown Bookmine in downtown Jacksonville for an afternoon of poetry, community, and creativity!

This course’s focus will be on Ransom Note Poetry* and Memoir Poetry

A few words will be provided to get you started, but your masterpiece is left to you to bring to life!

We’ll also be focused on 6 word memoirs. These are great exercises for a variety of reasons, come discover which one works best for you!

Paired along with your ransom note poem or your six-word memoir, you’ll be encouraged to create a visual representation inspired by your work. Materials for this portion will be provided.

Langston Hughes will be our literary focus for this class. You can find a link below with more information of how Hughes’s contribution inspired some of the most famous moments in history.
