Studio Practice: Story Building, Understanding Audience, and Word Tasting

About

by MOCA Jacksonville

Join literary artist Alisha Lockley online for an afternoon of wordsmithing, word tasting, and conversation.
About this Event
Join February’s Studio Practice artist, Alisha Lockley, author of The Book of Hims, to learn more about story building and stage presence as a spoken word poet. Designed for all levels of experience, guests can develop the ability to understand their literary voice, how to translate what it is that they should get off their chests, and how that narrative can be well-received by an audience. Guests can also enjoy exercises like “word tasting,” where they play with the phrasing of unusual lines and words.

SPACE IS LIMITED. REGISTRATION IS REQUIRED.

Still from The Blue Period.
