Downtown Vision has proudly hosted the First Wednesday Art Walk since 2003 to welcome people to DTJax and celebrate the community’s deep pool of creative talent.
Art Walk has returned after a break due to the pandemic and now takes place monthly! We invite you to bring your family, friends and coworkers for a self-guided tour of Downtown’s northbank core on the first Wednesday of every month. Explore three major hubs: James Weldon Johnson Park, The Jessie (duPont Center) and Vagabond Flea at The Breezeway at Vystar Tower, and all the businesses and public art between. Art Walk runs 5-9 p.m., rain or shine.
View participating venues and their programming. If on mobile, toggle between Map and List views. Click on a listing to view more information.
Browse works by local artists, grab a quick bite at one of our food trucks, and listen to live performances while sipping a beer at James Weldon Johnson Park’s Beer Garden.
Join us for another First Wednesday Art Walk on June 1st!
Catch live music provided by Mas Appeal and grab a drink from the Art Walk Bier Garten!

Each month, the Jessie Ball duPont Center curates an amazing array of local art and performers with a focus on equity and community. Central to the experience is the Corner Gallery, curated by Shawana Brooks. The Jessie is an art gallery in its own right. Learn about the many public art pieces.
July Art Walk Highlights: Performances by DJ Juanton, Til further Notice, fun from Jump 4 Jax, and shop local vendors. Food Trucks: Latin Food Grill, Jag Boiler. Check out Moving The Margins newest exhibition, “Shelter In Place” by artist in residence, Erin Kendrick.
Nestled in VyStar Credit Union’s headquarters lies one of Downtown’s best breezeways. Each month, The Vagabond Flea will be filling the The Breezeway at Vystar Tower with unique artists. Stop by to shop, dine, and drink at The Bread and Board Provisions, and end your evening with a cocktail on the Estrella Cocina rooftop.
