Downtown Vision has proudly hosted the First Wednesday Art Walk since 2003 to welcome people to DTJax and celebrate the community’s deep pool of creative talent.
Art Walk has returned after a break due to the pandemic and now takes place monthly! We invite you to bring your family, friends and coworkers for a self-guided tour of Downtown’s northbank core on the first Wednesday of every month. Explore three major hubs: James Weldon Johnson Park, The Jessie (duPont Center) and Vagabond Flea at The Breezeway at Vystar Tower, and all the businesses and public art between. Art Walk runs 5-9 p.m., rain or shine.
View participating venues and their programming. If on mobile, toggle between Map and List views. Click on a listing to view more information.
Join us for another First Wednesday Art Walk on October 5th!
Catch live music by LPT at the Main Stage and grab a drink from the Biergarten.

Each month, the Jessie Ball duPont Center curates an amazing array of local art and performers with a focus on equity and community. Central to the experience is the Corner Gallery, curated by Shawana Brooks. The Jessie is an art gallery in its own right. Learn about the many public art pieces.
October Art Walk Highlights:
Shop with local vendors and enjoy live music provided by Baba Caiman Band and DJ Lil Yankee. Explore the newest Moving the Margins’ exhibit, “Past, Present and Future: Rivers, Threads, Pockets and Bubbles”, at the Corner Gallery. Grab a bite to eat from Rinconcito De Lima, and enjoy a live latin dance show and jump rope performances by Jump 4 Jax and the Chalk Art Van. Plus, don’t miss the latin showcase with artists, Awilda La Merenguera, Khovu and Yuii Flores.
Nestled in VyStar Credit Union’s headquarters lies one of Downtown’s best breezeways.
October Art Walk Highlights:
Support local makers and artists at The Vagabond Flea while listening to live music provided by Chillula throughout the evening. Treat yourself to coffee from Vagabond Coffee Co. and dine at one of three restaurants on the VyStar Credit Union campus: Bread & Board, Bread & Burger or Estrella Cocina.
Reimbursable programming stipends are available for businesses within the event footprint.
Downtown is filled with amazing murals, sculptures, mosaics and more. Check out the Cultural Council of Greater Jacksonville’s Public Art Map to learn more about the pieces.
