Pop in DTJax’s multi-use space for local artists! The Lark will be releasing Elan International Student Literary Magazine Spring 2020 Edition published by Douglas Anderson School of the Arts. In addition, enjoy R. Middleton‘s Humanism solo show of large-scale abstract paintings.

The Main Library will be painting the town GREEN this March 4th for St Paddy Takes Over #DTJax! Inside the Main Library you will find a Green Marketplace Live, the unique trade show for green businesses includes: AnactGlobal, H20 at Home, More Than Ink, NativeJax Permaculture, Phi Eco Salon, Sunshine Organics and Composing, and more!

About Art Walk

The First Wednesday Art Walk is a monthly event produced by Downtown Vision, Inc. (DVI), the Business Improvement District, to bring people to the cultural and historical center of the city and showcase Jacksonville’s deep and energetic pool of creative talent. Open to visual and performing artists, Art Walk is on the first Wednesday of every month from 5 – 9 p.m., rain or shine. More than 35 Art Walk venues stretch across Downtown Jacksonville’s core and include Hemming Park, galleries, museums, cultural and educational venues, restaurants and bars, Downtown businesses and more.The First Wednesday Art Walk is a great way to meet fellow artists, buy and appreciate their work, and be part of the rapidly growing art scene in Jacksonville. We estimate that, on average, 5,000 art enthusiasts attend each month to see more than 100 artists exhibiting at Art Walk.

Getting Around

Parking

Parking is free after 6 p.m. Art Walk night at meters and at the Elite Parking Services garage on the corner of Clay and Adams streets.

Skyway

A unique and scenic way to get around Downtown, the elevated Skyway will take you down the block or all the way across the St. Johns River for free, with extended hours during Art Walk.
