Happy Fall!

Thank you for all who joined us in DTJax to celebrate all things ghoulish with us! We had such a blast with you all at the Jack O’ Landing Movie Night, Presented by Live Oak Contracting, and enjoyed scanning QR codes for the Halloweek Scavenger Hunt!

Businesses located in Downtown Jacksonville were encouraged to participate in the devilish fun! Downtown Vision is offering businesses a stipend of up to $250 for decorations for their windows and storefronts, and candy to give out during the week of Halloweek.

Jack O’ Landing Movie Night Presented by Live Oak Contracting

Friday, October 21st from 6-10:30 p.m. at Riverfront Plaza

Free Halloween favorites returned to the big screen in #DTJax, just in time for spooky season!

Jaxons were invited to join us for two spooky classics at Riverfront Plaza! In 2022, we had a petting zoo, pony rides, Manifest bars and more. Dinner was available nearby or from on site trucks, Lazy Days Hot Dogs, CJ’s Kettlecorn, Best Burgers, Happy Owl and Vagabond!

Showtimes:
Casper (Rated PG) at 6 p.m.
Beetlejuice (Rated PG) at 8 p.m.

Visitors were encouraged to grab dinner to-go from Downtown restaurants or grab a bite from on-site food vendors. Picnic blankets, dogs on leashes and costumes encouraged!

Halloweek QR Code Scavenger Hunt

From October 21-31st, the Jacksonville community was invited to join our Halloweek QR Code Scavenger Hunt. Participants were encouraged to scan QR Codes and snap photos at local businesses for a chance to win prizes while they Trick or Treated through the streets, shopped and supported local businesses.

How to Play:

Download the app Eventzee to your smartphone, available in Apple and Google Play stores for free
Create a profile
Enter the join code beginning on October 21st: HALLOWEEK
Use the app to scan 10 Halloweek QR Codes at participating businesses (look for the posters in their windows!) The first 100 players to scan 10 QR Codes will receive a $20 #DTJax e-Gift Card via email the week of November 1st.

Participants were invited to scan additional QR Codes and take place in Photo Challenges to enter to win more prizes. More challenges = more entries, winners will be chosen using a random number generator the week of November 1st. Valid email required to enter.
