Dashing Through Downtown QR Code Scavenger Hunt
From December 12-16, 2022, the Jacksonville community was invited to join our Dashing Through Downtown Hunt. Participants were encouraged to scan QR Codes and snap photos at local businesses for a chance to win prizes while supporting local businesses for the holidays. Stay tuned for next year’s event!Â
How to Play:
- Download the app Eventzee to your smartphone, available in Apple and Google Play stores for free
- Create a profile
- Enter the join code beginning on December 12th: DASHING
- Use the app to scan 10 Dashing Through Downtown QR Codes at participating businesses (look for the posters in their windows!) The first 100 players to scan 10 QR Codes will receive a $20 #DTJax e-Gift Card via email the week of December 19th.
Participants were invited to scan additional QR Codes and take place in Photo Challenges to enter to win more prizes including a $500 #DTJax e-Gift Card and prize baskets from participating businesses. More challenges = more entries, winners were chosen using a random number generator the week of December 19th. Valid email required to enter.

The local community was invited to join us for two holiday classics on the big screen at Riverfront Plaza:
How the Grinch Stole Christmas (6 p.m.)
Jack Frost (8 p.m.)
Visitors were encouraged to grab dinner to-go from Downtown restaurants or to grab a bite from the food trucks. Kids are welcome to sip on hot chocolate while adults enjoyed beer, wine and cocktails. Plus, Santa and Mrs. Claus were even on-site for photos! We can’t wait for next year.Â
